Brief :-
Jayesh Ranjan is a member of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) of the 1992 batch and working in the state of Andhra Pradesh. He holds a Masters Degree in Psychology from Delhi University and a degree in Business Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. He has also done short courses in the University of Birmingham and the London School of Economics. He is the All-India topper of his IAS batch of 1992. He was awarded World Bank’s Social Capital Visiting Scholarship in 2002 and the British Government’s Gurukul Chevening Scholarship in 2005. He has done international consultancy assignments for institutions like the World Bank and UN-ESCAP.
Jayesh Ranjan is Presently in Tourism Sector assignments since over a year, and is now working as the Secretary of the state government’s Tourism Department. The mandate of the department is to create tourism related infrastructure and promote tourism in general. His previous assignments have been in Hyderabad Urban Development Authority (HUDA) as Vice Chairman for 3 years, and various rural assignments in different parts of the state for over 12 years, working in diverse sectors like Tribal Development, Natural Resources management, Poverty Alleviation and other related Social Sector Development.
Jayesh Ranjan supports many social and charitable causes, and is on the Board of many organizations like APMAS, ML Jaisimha Sports Foundation, Hyderabad 10 K Foundation, Vijaya Foundation Trust etc.,
